Toby Jepson’s Life In Words on Live Acoustic Tour

Having started 2024 fronting Wayward Sons on their UK tour, Toby Jepson will be returning to the stage as an acoustic artist this coming May and June, with more than a few stories to share.

Knocking on over 35 years in the music business, Jepson – along with partner in crime, keyboard player Dave Kemp – will be delivering what promises to be a night not to be missed as the singer runs through a retrospective of his back catalogue, and offers behind-the-scenes stories on both them and his own personal life, the tour running under the banner head My Life In Words – Acoustic Live Dates.

Born in Lincoln, raised in Yorkshire, Jepson started his professional career in Scarborough rock band Little Angels, back in 1986. The band released three acclaimed albums on Polydor Records; the last one, Jam, became a number one album in the UK album charts in 1993. The band enjoyed ten top 40 hit singles in the UK, as well as chart success all over the world, and embarked on extensive touring as a headline act as well as opening for artists such as Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Marillion, Guns ‘N Roses, Bryan Adams, and ZZ Top, before bowing out in style at a sell-out concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London in 1994.

Since 1995, Jepson has toured as a solo artist as well as a singer for hire with bands such as Fastway, Gun, and Dio’s Disciples. His most recent musical adventure has been the rock band Wayward Sons, who have released three critically acclaimed records and have toured with UFO, Steel Panther, Saxon, Living Colour, as well as headlining tours of their own. In 2022, the band opened the main stage at Download Festival and is set to play more festivals in 2024.

Aside from being a successful writer/performer, Toby is a record producer, runs an independent film company, is a screenwriter, and a radio presenter on Planet Rock Radio. He was applauded for his lockdown Digital Busker Facebook shows, broadcast live and free from his kitchen throughout the pandemic, and fans should expect to see more of that lively energy on his My Life In Words – Acoustic Live Dates tour.
