Hot off from winning Hard Rock Hell’s Blues Artist of the Year award, Troy Redfern has released the fourth single from his latest album, The Wings of Salvation, in ‘Mercy’, that’s out now.
Kicking off with a vintage slide riff that sounds like it came straight off a beat-up 45 rpm, ‘Mercy’explodes into a technicolor soundscape of rock ‘n’ roll euphoria.
Redfern’s grinding Les Paul guitar fretboard fireworks explode over rhythm laid down by bass player Dave Marks and drummer Paul Stewart, of The Feeling, wherein themes of love gone bad permeate the haunting blues rocker, building up to one of Troy’s most explosively intricate guitar solos to date.
‘Mercy’ follows previous singles ‘Come On’, ‘Gasoline’, and ‘Sweet Carolina’ and can be streamed here, while you can check out the video right here at RAMzine.
The Wings of Salvation can be ordered on CD, digitally and limited edition yellow & red splatter vinyl from here.
