Tyketto Closer to the Sun Touring UK

Currently on tour throughout the UK with a new album in ‘Closer To The Sun’, hard rock band Tyketto have released a new single and video for the title track that you can check out here at RAMzine.

‘Closer To The Sun’ is a bit of a fantasy piece, really. I was thinking about Kate Hudson’s character in the film Almost Famous,” reflected vocalist Danny Vaughn.

“I think we have all known someone like that growing up, someone that laughs at life, lives just a little outside of the norm and sometimes seems to float through the world. What does she know that I don’t know? The singer has caught a glimpse of this woman and has fallen deeply in love, despite knowing almost nothing about her. ‘What if I’m missing something in my own life? What if?'”

Recorded at various studios in the UK and Europe (Flip Flop Studios and the legendary Rockfield Studios in Wales among them), founding member and former Waysted vocalist Vaughn was joined by Harry Scott Elliott on guitar, Ged Rylands on keyboards, Thunder‘s Chris Childs on bass and Johnny Dee, who has performed with Doro, on drums for ‘Closer To The Sun’.

Previous singles issued from the album were ‘Higher Than High’ and ‘We Rise’, their videos directed and edited by Scott Wardell and filmed by Paul Hollingsworth, whereas the video for ‘Closer To The Sun’ was created by Andy Pilkington at Very Metal Art.

‘Closer To The Sun’ is available as sunburst finish, red and black deluxe limited 12″ vinyl editions, CD digipak, digital download, streaming and special D2C bundles via Silver Lining Music.
