Viva Mariachi El Bronx!

If you haven’t heard of this band before, you may be thinking – who are they and why do they sound so familiar? It may even remind you of L.A punk outfit, The Bronx?

Well, it’s almost certain that there will be no legal debate over band name, mainly owing to the fact that they are one and the same.

So now that we’ve established this, you may question why The Bronx have another band, albeit with a very similar name. Could it be that this is as literal as it sounds? Absolutely, and it’s fantastic.

Already a well established punk band with worldwide fans, front man Matt Caughthran and his band have shown tremendous diversity with this incarnation, which has attracted some real critical acclaim. ‘Mariachi El Bronx’ which simply translates as ‘Mariachi The Bronx’ is everything you expect from a Mariachi band, and more.

Having now released their third self-titled album, the music continues to be well executed, polished and bouncy. Although It may seem that as such a well established band they could simply be popular by association, the high calibre of the music, production, authenticity and overall great vibe self-serve as a recipe for success both on record and on stage.

Recently appearing on Conan O’Brien to perform and showcase ‘Wildfires’ they are also due to release new single ‘New Beat’ on January 19th and have a U.K tour lined up next month. Tickets are now on sale!
