Godsmack Live Album Out Now Ahead Of World Tour

Three decades into their career, Godsmack have released a brand new live album. Live at Mohegan Sun, out today via Primary Wave, captures the band’s sold out 26 October 2024 performance at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut. The release arrives just days ahead of their Rise of Rock World Tour 2026, kicking off 10 May in Bristow, Virginia.

Recorded in front of a fiercely devoted New England crowd, the album rolls through a career spanning set including ‘Surrender‘, ‘Awake‘, ‘Voodoo‘, ‘Cryin’ Like a Bitch!!‘, ‘When Legends Rise‘, ‘Bulletproof‘ and ‘You and I‘, closing with the towering ‘I Stand Alone‘. Frontman Sully Erna describes the album as honouring where the band have been whilst pushing them forward into what’s next.

For Erna, the Mohegan Sun show represents both an emotional closing of one chapter and the welcoming of whatever comes next for the band. He talks about crying multiple times whilst watching it back, calling it a happy emotion filled with a sense of accomplishment. The classic Godsmack lineup of Sully Erna, Tony Rombola, Robbie Merrill and Shannon Larkin are all captured at full tilt across the recording.

Godsmack are heading out on a major tour in support of the album, joined by Stone Temple Pilots and Dorothy on select shows. Erna calls it a hit factory of real rock bands, a celebration of rock music, history and everything that got them here. The European leg includes festival appearances at Hills of Rock in Belgium, Rockstadt Extreme Fest in Romania, Leyendas del Rock in Spain, Vagos Metal Fest in Portugal, Motocultor in France and Dynamo Metal Fest in the Netherlands across July and August.

A global watch party for Live at Mohegan Sun will stream exclusively on Stagepilot on Thursday 28 May, featuring the full concert film alongside a Q&A session with Erna. International CD and LP release follows on 26 June.

We’ve followed Godsmack across multiple UK tours over the years and they’ve consistently delivered. Live at Mohegan Sun feels like a fitting document of a band who’ve spent three decades earning their place at the top of hard rock.
