Hammerfest is a festival that sells out year-on-year. It’s held at the home of Hard Rock Hell – Hafan y Mor Holiday Park, Pwllheli, Wales. This isn’t your standard Rock Festival for at this festival you don’t stay in a tent, but in a warm caravan or chalet with showers, kitchens, and very comfortable beds. This adds to comfort of a great weekend, and don’t worry, it doesn’t take away from the metalness at all! Headlining are German thrash metallers Kreator, alongside Overkill, and the hardcore Corrosion of Conformity.
Ones to look out for on this line-up include The Vintage Caravan – a band who are emerging on the UK hard rock scene, and have just released new album ‘voyager’ through Nuclear Blast. Its crunchy riff, heavy influenced bass-line by the kings that are Led Zepplin, Cream, and Black Sabbath.
