All 2017 Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductees announced

It was only a few days ago that we announced prog rock legends Yes are to be inducted in to the world-famous Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. Now a video has been released confirming all of the 2017 inductees.

Check out the video below:

This year’s inductees are:

American folk singer Joan Baez, prog supergroup Yes, inventive electronic pop legends ELO, AOR icons Journey, grunge-era alt-rockers Pearl Jam, late rapper 2pac, and genre-spanning producer Nile Rodgers.

Of course this fits in with the HOF being about the true spirit of rock N roll rather than the genre itself.

Artists are eligible for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25 years after the release of their first album or single. This year is the first year Pearl Jam and 2pac were eligible. They are also the first artists to join the institution who started their careers in the 1990s.

The ceremony will be held at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on April 7th.

Below is a videoplaylist few of their most memorable hits

Pearl Jam – Alive

Journey -Separate Ways

Yes – Owner Of a Lonely Heart

David Bowie – Let’s Dance (produced by Nile Rodgers)
