A few weeks ago we were assured Bloodstock Festival would go ahead. It’s expected that some changes would be made as it’s different from what it was back in 2019. This means the line-up may also change, the first of which is Saturday headliner Mercyful Fate – who have unfortunately had to cancel their set.
This is due to COVID restrictions. A statement was issued on the official Facebook for Bloodstock:
So with 2021 set to be the biggest welcome return to bloodstock for all of us, we will be having some adjustments to this year’s lineup unfortunately due to knock-on effects of Covid Mercyful Fate can no longer play this year event … The band’s replacement will be announced shortly, please stay tuned!
