The imminent tour of the UK in support of the new album Turborider by Swedish rock band Reckless Love has previously been cancelled due to covid, Now comes news that the Dan Reed Network has had to withdraw as special guests, due to an injury suffered by an unidentified bandmate.
Stepping in, is UK band The Treatment, as special guests, alongside continued support from Collateral.
Lead vocalist Dan Reed made the following statement: “I have to bring the sad news that DRN is having to jump off the bill of the Reckless Love tour this late August/early September due to our bandmate still needing time to recover. They will be all good in a few months, but unfortunately, the doctors say it’s just going to [too] be soon for us to make these dates and is simply too risky.
“This is very hard for us as we were so looking forward to getting out there and playing songs from this new album that you have all been loving so far. It is soul-crushing for us, but it is truly out of our hands at this time. Myself and the band apologise for any inconvenience this has caused any of you in Sweden, the UK, Germany and France.
“Thankfully a great band has stepped up and will be joining the bill with Reckless Love and Collateral and that band will be announced next week, so hold on to your tickets for now as they remain valid for those dates should you choose to attend, and I surely hope you do as it will be a wonderful night of live music, that I can guarantee!”
Reckless Love lead vocalist Olli Herman commented: “We want to welcome our new special guests, The Treatment, with high fives to join us on our Turborider Tour in the UK and we are beyond excited about the fact that we get to reunite our forces with them again. This time we finally get to do a full-blown tour with them.
“Naturally, we were a little bummed about the fact we did not get to tour with Dan Reed Network and these last-minute changes for a production like this can sometimes be a little sketchy. However, this new line-up somehow seems like an even better package than the original. It’s gonna be a little sleazier maybe, but such a perfect recipe for mayhem and merriment for sure. These nights are gonna be wicked. We can’t wait to see you all live again. Get ready to party like hell!! We wish all the best to DRN camp and hope to see them soon in the future.”
Previously, The Treatment had no plans to perform live in the UK this year, but they commented on the upcoming dates: “We are delighted to announce we will be joining our old friends’ Reckless Love on their Upcoming UK tour as very special Guests. This is a bonus for all Treatment fans as we hadn’t planned to tour the UK again until next year. These are shows you simply cannot miss. We’re looking forward to the Treatment Troops coming to support us in their masses for a great night of high-energy rock ‘n roll.”
