Disturbed have released the music video for ‘The Light’, the latest single from their critically acclaimed album Immortalized. The video is directed by Cully Bunker and Craig Bernard, with production by Evan Urman and Jason Valen and you can check it out here:
Formed in Chicago in 1996, the multi-platinum Disturbed – David Draiman [vocals], Dan Donegan [guitar], Mike Wengren [drums], and John Moyer [bass] – have sold over 15 million albums globally and scored ten No. 1 singles at Active Rock Radio. Their quadruple-platinum 2000 debut The Sickness formally announced their arrival as hard rock leaders, with that status solidified by their subsequent Grammy Award nomination as well as gold-, platinum- and double platinum-certified records.
Immortalized marked the end of a 4-year hiatus for the Grammy-nominated hard rock titans and debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200, marking the band’s fifth consecutive #1 album – a rare distinction only achieved by one other hard rock band in the history of the chart: Metallica – and putting them in the company of a select group of global superstars to have earned five chart-topping debuts, including Madonna, Beyoncé, Eminem, Dave Matthews Band and U2.
The band recently announced international touring plans for 2016, starting in January headlining Australia’s biggest rock event of the year at The Soundwave Festival, as well as a headline show in Auckland, New Zealand. Summer touring plans already include confirmed slots at some of Europe’s biggest rock festivals, including Rock am Ring and Rock im Park in Germany, the U.K.’s Download Festival, Hellfest in France, Forta Rock in The Netherlands, Nova Rock in Austria, and Belgium’s Graspop, with more worldwide tour dates to be announced soon.
