Undead modern metal crew Dominum have covered Michael Jackson‘s ‘Thriller’, complete with an official music video, just in time for Halloween.
The track appears on their latest album, Night Is Calling, which came out in July via Napalm Records and reached the German top 10. Frontman Dr. Dead says they owed Jackson one.
“Let’s be honest for a second: before Michael Jackson came along, zombies had a serious image problem,” he explains. “They were extras in cheap B-movies, hanging around on terrible diets and taking a shotgun blast to the face by minute twenty. Then, in 1983, a man in a red leather jacket showed the world that this valuable part of our society had more to offer. Michael Jackson did more for the undead than any politician ever has.”
He has a warning for anyone heading to the shows, too. “Our security on the Night Is Calling Tour has been briefed. Anyone caught moving forward during ‘Thriller’ is officially cleared as dinner.”
Dr. Dead, Tommy Kemp, Patient 0 and Victor Hilltop have toured with Bruce Dickinson, Avantasia and Battle Beast. They now head out on their own headline run with The Night Flight Orchestra and Edge Of Paradise, including three UK dates.
