Pennsylvania rockers Don’t Panic are heading back to the UK for two runs in July, one straight after the other, armed with their new album For Your Consideration. The quartet of Ted Felicetti, Zach Falkow, Anthony Paesano and AJ Larson return to British shores at the height of summer for a busy week of shows.
First up, the band support 2000s hitmakers American Hi-Fi on the headliners’ first UK shows in well over a decade, taking in Birmingham, Manchester and London. As soon as those wrap, Don’t Panic stay on the road for a trio of their own headline dates in Southampton, Milton Keynes and Chester, with UK pop-punk rising stars Royals along as support.
Felicetti is relishing every part of the return. “We are beyond excited to get back to the UK this summer. First, a few shows opening for the legends in American Hi-Fi, and then a few of our own headline plays. For those, we are bringing along our buddies in Royals out of Southampton who were our support for our very first tour over there a few years ago,” he says. “For these headline shows, we will also be doing something very special and performing our brand new album For Your Consideration in its entirety along with some other of your favourites. It’s always such a special experience when we get across the pond and they always tend to be our favourite shows of the year.”
The dates mark the first chance for UK fans to hear songs from For Your Consideration, the band’s fourth studio album, alongside older favourites like ‘Fall Of 99‘ and ‘Just A Call Away‘. Out now, the record blends 2000s and modern emo-tinged American pop-punk with a generous scoop of heartfelt rock ‘n’ roll, led by single ‘Honest‘ and the recently released lyric video for ‘Silent Engineer‘. The album is available on vinyl through SmartPunk Records.
