The Boffey Article have released ‘Not Feeling Myself’. It’s the first single from their debut album Peer Pressure, and they’ve brought in some serious nineties credentials to make it: former Pearl Jam drummer Dave Abbruzzese plays on the record.
The band are spread across the UK, the US and Southeast Asia, and they draw on Alice In Chains, Faith No More, Soundgarden and Stone Temple Pilots. They aren’t trying to recreate the nineties, though. They take that heavy, melodic alternative rock spirit and push it somewhere of their own.
Abbruzzese was behind the kit on Pearl Jam‘s Vs. and Vitalogy, so getting him on a debut album is quite a coup for Lewis, Jay and Mat.
“Not Feeling Myself” is our first single, featuring Pearl Jam legend Dave Abbruzzese on drums. It’s all about smiling through gritted teeth, and having to stay polite to someone in person even when you know their private persona is completely unhinged.” – The Boffey Article
‘Not Feeling Myself’ arrives on all the usual streaming platforms on 30 October, with Peer Pressure following in December.
