Montreal alternative rockers Lady Susan are back with a new music video for ‘Attention’, taken from their debut EP Teenage Revenge.
The track takes aim at the attention economy: the constant stream of bad news, manufactured narratives and the chase for likes, along with our own part in all of it. Groovy, upbeat verses build into a big, anthemic alt rock chorus, giving a heavy subject a hook you won’t shake easily.
‘Attention’ is the third instalment in an ambitious series of six interconnected videos, one for each track on the EP. Each clip adds another piece to a larger story for viewers to decipher. It follows the punk-driven ‘Romeo’ and first single ‘Lottery’.
Formed in 2024 by four musicians with years of experience in Montreal’s local punk scene, Lady Susan do everything themselves. Teenage Revenge was released on 25 September, and the band handled the recording, mixing, filming, editing and all of their promotional visuals in house.
Their sound is melodic and hook-driven, pairing carefully crafted arrangements with the raw energy of their punk roots. Fans of Biffy Clyro, The Flatliners and Jimmy Eat World should feel right at home.
‘Attention’ is out now, with three more chapters of the story still to come.
