Festival News: Ramblin Man Fair Announce Further Acts For The Prog Stage

Ooooh we just cannot get enough of all the festival announcements popping up right now, and newcomer Ramblin’ Man Fair is no exception. Here are the further acts that have just been announced for The Prog Stage on Saturday and Sunday 25 and 26 July 2015:

ANATHEMA – One of the most innovative and challenging progressive rock bands of the modern era. Formed in Liverpool in the early 90s, the band released its tenth album Distant Satellites in 2014 – an album that was compared to Radiohead’s Kid A, and described by Allmusic.com as “powerful and compelling.”

HAKEN – Formed in London in 2007 and have since become firmly established as a leading modern progressive rock band. Their most recent album, The Mountain, released in 2013, was compared to Dream Theater and King Crimson – heady praise indeed.

ALCEST – Founded in the year 2000, and with releases such as Le Secret(2005) and Souvenirs d’un autre monde (2007) these guys virtually created the post Black Metal Shoegaze/Black Metal “Blackgaze“ genre. Over the years, Alcest helped make this style surprisingly popular around the world and continue to be its foremost proponents.

KNIFEWORLD – Leftfield psychedelic rock band led by former Cardiacs guitarist Kavius Torabi. Their 2014 album The Unravelling was given a maximum five-star rating in The Guardian, with writer Dom Lawson declaring it: “an ingenious, joyful exercise in exploratory zeal.”

ANNA PHOEBE – This violinist and composer has been thrilling audiences all over the world with her stunning live performances. Dazzling and charismatic, she’s played major arenas all over the United States, London venues including the Royal Albert Hall and now brings her show to Ramblin’ Man Fair in 2015.

UNTO US – This progressive rock 5 piece from the UK continue to walk the road of success after the release of their critically acclaimed album ‘The Human Landscape’, with a place on this years prog stage at The Ramblin’ Man Fair. In a recent album review Prog Rock magazine had this to say – “The Human Landscape is a frequently enchanting debut, Surprisingly gripping and well worth the wait!”

These acts are the latest to join an already impressive list of top quality names. This Rock Collective and TeamRock presents… event will bring the best of Classic Rock, Progressive Rock, Country and Blues to Mote Park in Maidstone, Kent this summer. Here are the confirmed acts so far:

Ramblin’ Man Fair is set to become the must see event for discerning festival goers. A quality musical line up with a number of UK exclusive performances will be coupled with excellent amenities throughout, including gourmet food, a beer festival, spoken word stage, the best in music cinema, luxury camping and accommodation packages and more. The festival will take place in the beautiful Mote Park in Maidstone, Kent – the garden of England. The park is one of the largest in South East England with more than 450 acres of mature parkland and a 30 acre lake. The festival site is also perfect for European festival goers with easy links to the London airports, the Channel Tunnel and Ferries to and from mainland Europe.

Coach and Travel Information
Ramblin’ Man Fair has teamed up with Big Green Coach, the Events Travel Company, who are operating day return coach services on both Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th July from London Victoria Coach Station direct to the festival. A return coach fare is only £29 and you can choose to buy travel only or travel together with your festival ticket.
