A new version of ‘Die For You’ is out as a single from From Ashes To New, climbing steadily up the Active Rock charts, where it currently sits at No. 15. Originally featured on their recent album Reflections (out via Better Noise Music), this new rendition features guest vocals from Neoni, an alt-pop sister duo whose self-proclaimed motto is ‘sisters who argue and write songs.’
When From Ashes To New posted a video of one of their fans singing the song at a show, they noticed bullying comments being made towards the fan and immediately leapt to her defence. Vocalist Matt Brandyberry doubled down and addressed the behaviour from the stage, reinforcing that the band wouldn’t tolerate such antics. The band also reached out to the fan and promised her lifetime guest lists to their shows.
This new version has the sisters singing in counterpoint to Brandyberry and Danny Case, amplifying the song’s moody melodies and emotional heft.
“Neoni has such a unique identity and brings an energy to their music that we really love,” said Brandyberry. “‘Die For You’ felt like the perfect opportunity to bring our separate sides of the alternative worlds together and create something that feels fresh, emotional, and uniquely ours.”
Neoni echoed that, saying: “It was such a pleasure to work with everyone in From Ashes To New to add our perspective to such an incredible song. We had so much fun and we can’t wait for you to hear it.”
In April 2026, ‘Forever’ was issued as a single, accompanied by a video directed by Orie McGuinness.
“‘Forever’ came together at the very end of the record, almost like it was waiting for everything else to fall into place before it could exist,” Brandyberry noted. “There’s a sense of finality to it, like standing in the aftermath of something you can’t fix, realising too late where it all went wrong. It paints a picture of how it feels when regret won’t let go.
“We pushed ourselves further than we ever have on this one. We made choices that felt uncomfortable, but that’s what helped shape it into something different for us. The goal wasn’t to play it safe; it was to evolve and create something that sticks with you. ‘Forever’ doesn’t resolve cleanly… It lingers, and that’s exactly what we wanted.”
As for the album as a whole, the band explained: “It’s not a concept album by design, but there’s a common theme running through it: that feeling of being stuck in a kind of purgatory, where you can almost see something better ahead of you, but there’s always something dragging you back down.”
It is also a moment for From Ashes To New, but not simply a moment in time. The band finishes: “This record is a reflection of who we were while making it,” before framing it as a marker of who they are becoming. “Every song helped shape a sound that feels honest to where we’re headed, not where we’ve been. We didn’t hold anything back, and you can hear that in every moment.”
