Hard rock all-stars Iconic return with their sophomore album, II, on 31st July through Frontiers Music Srl, with their third single and lyric video, ‘Valley Of Lost Souls’, out now.
Featuring Michael Sweet and Joel Hoekstra (guitars), Marco Mendoza (bass), Tommy Aldridge (drums), and Nathan James (vocals), we’re promised bigger riffs, deeper grooves, and a stronger sense of identity on the new album.
Tracks featured are: ‘Cry No More’, ‘All I Want’, ‘Open My Eyes’, ‘Tears Keep On Falling’, ‘Take Me To The Place’, ‘S.O.S.’, ‘Nothing Left For Me’, ‘Far Away’, ‘Valley Of Lost Souls’, ‘Written In The Stars’ and ‘Heart Of Stone’.
“What a thrill it is to create and release music with such legends,” said Michael Sweet of the new single. “‘Valley Of Lost Souls’ is another song that solidifies who we are as a band and perfectly represents our goal: to remind people of the power of rock.”

It follows previous single ‘Take Me To The Place’, about which Sweet commented: “‘Take Me To The Place’ is once again a song that takes you back to the past. The whole point of this band/album is to remind people of the power of classic rock. Some of the greatest music came out of the 70s/80s and we’re very proud to be able to continue waving that flag and carrying the torch!”
“It was great fun to riff away to trade leads with Michael Sweet on this one,” added Hoekstra. “Nathan James is belting away and the classic rock vibes are omnipresent. Hopefully you all like it as much as we liked recording it!”
While Mendoza noted: “Another great song coming from all the talent in this band… Michael and Joel killing it, Nathan sounding great and delivering big time… Tommy driving!”
Previously the band released ‘Cry No More’ as a single, with Sweet commenting at the time: “It’s been a long time coming and the time is finally here! It’s an absolute honour to be a part of such an incredible band and ‘Cry No More’ is the perfect representation of who Iconic is. Music that takes you back to the best of times and reminds you that rock is still alive and well!”
