Militia Vox & the Apocalypse

Known for  an electrifying stage presence and fierce, genre-defying music, Militia Vox is set to make waves with her upcoming single ‘Apocalypse’, due 29th August from Golden Robot Records.

‘Apocalypse’ has been described as an anthem of rebellion, warrior grit and fighting spirit for these turbulent times. Gutsy vocals, hard groove guitars, synthy saxophones, and explosive energy are offered on this sonic experience.

“I’m both thrilled and relieved to finally find a label to call home,” said Militia Vox. “It’s been a long road – I haven’t worked with a label since 1999. This is my first signing as a solo artist, and I’ve turned down every record deal I’ve ever been offered. It was never the right fit, until now. I’m grateful and proud to officially join the Golden Robot family. Our kickoff single is ‘Apocalypse – which is so significant of the journey to get to this point. It’s an anthem for rebellion, survival, resiliency, and liberation.”

Golden Robot Records stated that it was “honoured to partner withMilitia Vox as she embarks on this new chapter of her career. Her fearless creativity and unapologetic sound align perfectly with our vision for pushing the boundaries of rock and alternative music.”

New York City’s alt-metal multidisciplinary artist Militia Vox is a unique and rebellious blend of metal, rock, goth/industrial, prog and cinematic soundscapes.  She has a four octave range, raw presence and serious vocal power. An award-winning heavy music trailblazer she has recorded and or performed with: Cyndi Lauper, Twisted Sister, Living Colour, Nancy Sinatra, Candlebox, L7, dUg Pinnick (King’s X), John Petrucci(Dream Theater), Nuno Bettencourt(Extreme, Rihanna), Paul Schaffer and the CBS Orchestra and members of Guns ’N’ Roses, Bad Wolves, Kittie and more.

Her duet with heavy metal icon Rob Halford (Judas Priest – Rock n Roll Hall of Fame 2022 inductees), ‘Push Comes To Shove’ by Bad Penny, reached #23 on iTunes. She is also frontwoman of all-female heavy metal act Judas Priestess – and the only artist to have a duet with the person they’ve tributed!

Vox made her Carnegie Hall debut in 2022 in SuperYou! The Musical and has performed Off-Broadway in Sandra Bernhard: Everything Bad and Beautiful, in the National Tours of Dee Snider’s horror orchestra Van Helsing’s Curse as lead vocalist, lack Women Rock/Daughters Of Betty, Rock Of Ages, in The Rocky Horror Show and on a European Tour of Jesus Christ Superstar.

A songwriter/composer, filmmaker and AR/VR/XR/immersive creator, Vox hosted Fuse TV’s Heavy Metal Makeover and VJed on MTV2, Vh1 and MuchMusic USA.  She has been featured in books and films, including the documentary Betty: They Say I’m Different about the life of funk-rock legend, Betty Davis (Amazon Prime Video.)  She sang on the cover of Led Zeppelin’s ‘Friends’ by Patriarchs In Black (with Johnny Kelly of Type O Negative, Danzig and Quiet Riot) that was named #10 in the Top 10 Best of 2023 on Sirius XM’s Liquid Metal.
