Musical Weirdos PICTURE ANN Evoke the Spell of the ‘Ugly Siren’

The experimental Danish ambient/metal/rock collective that is PICTURE ANN recently dug out a previously unreleased demo version of a hugely atmospheric and introspective piece entitled ‘Ugly Siren’ that oozes deep-seated longing and bone-crushing loneliness.

In the words of PICTURE ANN mastermind J.N., “In all honesty, I much prefer this version to the finalized one that eventually ended up on the A Bone Case for Papery Skin record. The demo version is much more…well, it just works for me and I consider it one of my finest compositions to date. Actually, I did record some other demo versions of the tune too (some of which were much more raw and primitive), but this one right here is my favorite and one that I truly treasure as it means a lot to me on a personal level”.
