DOMINUM Share ‘Dark Melodies’ Ahead of Album

DOMINUM have unveiled ‘Dark Melodies’, the third single from their forthcoming album Night is Calling, due on 3 July 2026 through Napalm Records. The track arrives with an official video.

The German modern metal act trade in horror theatrics and arena-sized hooks, and ‘Dark Melodies’ leans into both. It is a haunting ballad in waltz time, pairing an eerie atmosphere with the powerful vocals of frontman Felix Heldt, better known to fans as Dr. Dead.

In character as ever, he describes the song as something he cannot shake. “For some time now, far too long, I’ve been hearing these melodies. Always. They whisper in my mind, tugging at me, like a black shadow sneaking into my heart,” he says. “Sometimes sweet, sometimes bitter, but always an unstoppable pull I cannot escape.”

Night is Calling follows 2024’s The Dead Don’t Die, which carried the band into the German top ten and onto major European stages alongside Bruce Dickinson, Avantasia and Battle Beast. The new record runs to thirteen tracks, produced by Heldt and mixed by Jacob Hansen, and pushes the band’s theatrical universe further still. The title track features Battle Beast, while the carnival opener ‘The Circus Is In Town’ and the hook-heavy ‘Doctor Doctor’ sit alongside a cover of Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ that fits the undead concept rather neatly. Selected formats also include a bonus live album, Live at Wacken 2025.

UK fans get three chances to catch the spectacle later in 2026. The Night is Calling Tour, with The Night Flight Orchestra in support, reaches Manchester’s O2 Ritz on 8 December, Bristol Electric on 9 December and London’s Electric Brixton on 10 December, part of a European run stretching through the month.

The band remains the work of Dr. Dead alongside Patient 0 on bass, Victor Hilltop on drums and Tommy Kemp on guitars, a lineup that has built one of modern metal’s more committed live concepts.

We have enjoyed watching DOMINUM turn a gimmick that could easily wear thin into something genuinely infectious, and ‘Dark Melodies’ shows there is real songcraft holding the whole undead circus together.
