The title track from Pride Of Lions‘ new album Unbridled is out as a single via Frontiers Music Srl.
It’s the eighth album by vocalists Toby Hitchcock and Survivor‘s Jim Peterik, the latter having also produced, played keyboards and secondary guitar on the record.
“It is always a pleasure to team up with Toby Hitchcock, as we have since POL started recording for Frontiers way back in 2003. His powerful voice and positive attitude are a blessing to me,” Peterik said. “The album starts with the powerful title track and Greg Bizzaro video ‘Unbridled’ with Toby and me harmonising at full power.”
“‘I’ll Be Your Rock’ by Pride Of Lions is our song about the strength two people can possess when they join forces as a team,” the songwriter said about their previous single. “Karen and I will have been husband and wife for 54 years this September… and still going strong. We are truly each other’s fortress. ‘You’ll be my rock, you’ll be my fortress, you’ll be my strength to run any length, my torch in the darkness,’ when you find your soul mate you’ll both be standing tall forever. Rock on!”
“‘Edge Of Forever’ is a cautionary tale about a fragile planet at the verge of collapse. ‘Is it really too late to turn back the hands of time?’ The implied answer is ‘No, not if we all work together to save it.’ Every song in this collection expresses concern, yet always a ray of hope on the horizon for a better world,” he added regarding that single, also noting:
“The song ‘Edge Of Forever’ is one of my favorite tracks from our latest Pride Of Lions album, Unbridled. But to be honest, I wasn’t sure how our fans would respond to it. It breaks with our tradition of songs of positivity and light, replacing it with the feeling that the world situation seems to keep getting more and more unsettled, posing the question ‘Are we standing at the edge of forever?’ Toby and I offer hope of course for a better world by joining hands and coming together.
