South Florida hard rockers Nonpoint are back with hard-hitting new single ‘Is It’, available across all major digital platforms on 8th May. Nonpoint are something different, with seriously good vocals! This song conjures up the feeling of being at a festival, dancing and looking up at the sky in pure joy, then glancing back at the stage to find total badassery and everyone rocking out.
The track is the first taste of the band’s forthcoming full-length The Last Word, due in late summer 2026 via 361 Degrees Records. Both the band and their label are positioning ‘Is It’ as the opening salvo of a new era, setting the tone for an album that aims to challenge expectations rather than meet them. The song debuted on 24th April exclusively via the band’s official YouTube channel as a hand-drawn animated lyric video, with the full DSP and radio rollout following on 8th May.
Frontman Elias Soriano on the new chapter: “In a world that sometimes wants to put a timestamp on creativity, The Last Word is our way of saying we’re just getting started. We’re pushing back against expectation and pushing forward into our own next chapter.”
On the song itself: “‘Is It’ is that internal conflict where you question getting too involved? Did I push too hard? Did I ask too much? It’s that feeling of wondering if doing what you thought was right actually meant hurting the people around you.”
Soriano also explained the album artwork’s central pencil imagery: “The pencil on the cover represents what it’s like to be handed one last tool and expected to fit everything you have left to say into it. The Last Word isn’t about accepting an ending. It’s about challenging that narrative.”
Nonpoint are currently rampaging across North America on The Outta Control Tour with SOiL and Sumo Cyco, road-testing new material from The Last Word alongside the catalogue cuts that have powered their thirty-year career.
Formed in 1997, the South Florida five-piece have spent nearly three decades blurring the lines between heavy metal, nu-metal and hard rock, earning a reputation as one of the most relentless live acts in the genre.
Nonpoint is: Elias Soriano (vocals), Robb Rivera (drums), Rasheed Thomas (guitar/backing vocals), Adam Woloszyn (bass), Jason Zeilstra (lead guitar).
