Rock Hard Festival Greece 2026, powered by Rock Kommander, has revealed the first wave of bands confirmed for this year’s edition. The festival takes place over two days, 11 and 12 September, in Athens, with a lineup leaning into special sets and tribute performances that should appeal to the more discerning end of the European metal crowd.
Brazilian power metal icons Angra will perform their landmark Holy Land album with Kiko Loureiro in attendance, marking a special return for the guitarist to material that helped define the band’s identity. Swedish power metal stalwarts Stratovarius will deliver a special 90s set, dipping back into the era that built their reputation. Dirkschneider are confirmed to play a special Accept set, with Udo himself revisiting the catalogue he originally helped create.
Joining them are Irish folk and black metal force Primordial and Greek epic metal newcomers Triumpher, alongside Blood Fire Death, the all star tribute to Bathory that has become a recurring fixture for celebrating the Swedish black metal pioneer’s legacy.
Athens has long been a city with a fierce metal community, and with this calibre of opening announcement, Rock Hard Festival Greece 2026 already feels like one to keep an eye on. More names are expected to follow.
