Room11 Release Debut EP

Innovative South London power duo Room11’s debut EP We All Fall Down is out now, featuring five tracks by vocalist Chrisy Finn and guitarist Robbie Pinnetto.

“We titled this, our debut EP, the same as our first track, ‘We All Fall Down’, because it just feels so relevant especially since during the filming of our music video, Robbie very nearly crashed into a member of the public while on a skate board. After swerving and crashing to the ground, He broke his arm, went very pale while nursing it (which can be seen in the video) and was then rushed off to hospital before passing out. Fortunately, we got the job done and it’s a blinder of a single, with the rest of the tunes on the EP, burning hot, to match it.” Said the duo.

The pairing’s approach to music includes an innovative no-bassist setup and using dual amps to cover a broad spectrum of sound frequencies, that’s become a defining characteristic of their music, as they take you on a journey of the human condition in the digital age.

“We decided to step out of London, as Luca Volpe (who played drums on two of the EP’s tracks) suggested we work with producer Dave Draper,” they explained. “Dave turned out to be perfect for our sound, understanding exactly what we were aiming for and capturing our energy on the recording, brilliantly – He is a magician and we love him!

“Our sound definitely has an interesting set up. The ‘speciality’ is not having a bassist. We have to cover certain frequencies, connecting the guitar to two different amps, and, having two sounds, we are able to hit that pounding bass sound. A bit like how Royal Blood does it, except the other way around. Maybe that’s us! Royal Blood, but back to front! Ha!”

Recorded in Pershore, near Birmingham, with producer Dave Draper (Nickelback, Terrorvision, The WildHearts), tracks featured We All Fall Down are: ‘Man On A Mission’, ‘All She Wants’, ‘Black Fly’, ‘We All Fall Down’ and ‘Backseat Lovers’.

The songs don’t shy away from exploring the crevices of our minds, but do so with an energetic vibrancy that’s as introspective as it is liberating.
