Wayward Sons will be touring the UK in January 2024 – And, along with Planet Rock, they are holding a contest that will offer local bands an opportunity to open the shows.
Bands within a 50 mile radius, need only submit one song, with relevant photos and social media links to bandcomp@waywardsonsband.com and Wayward Sons will chose one band for each tour date.
Official guests on the UK tour are grunge rock power trio Muddibrooke.
It will Wayward Sons first tour since covid interrupted their tour in support of the Even Up The Score album, where there had been sold-out shows. The band on hiatus since their triumphant opening of the main stage at Download Festival ’22.
Formed by former Little Angels frontman Toby Jepson on vocals and guitar, Wayward Sons’ line-up remains lead guitarist Sam Wood, drummer Phil Martini and bassist Nic Wastell, formerly with Chrome Molly. Keyboard player Dave Kemp leaving in 2021 for health reasons.
The January UK tour will see them playing songs from their three acclaimed albums and some surprises too. Fans are told to expect lots of energy, melody and the Sons’ “unique brand of noise and participation that make their shows such an event”.
