“It’s been a while since we hit the road without our band. But we’re excited to be playing a series of intimate shows as a special thank you for your support,” said husband and wife duo, Grace and Aaron Bond, aka award-winning UK Blues Award When Rivers Meet.
Dubbed the Red Rum Duo Tour, this lengthy outing will take place from October through to November.
“Get ready for a night of close-up performances of classic WRM songs, along with a few surprise covers thrown in for good measure. Don’t miss out on this rare opportunity to see us in a more personal setting.”
“Join us for an intimate night of music as we reach back in our memories, talking about our journey over the last five years.
As part of the discussion part of these shows, the Bonds will discuss how they navigate the musical industry as independent and self-managed artists. How they began playing pubs for a few quid, a meal if they were lucky and a parking spot in the car park so we could park overnight in their van, through to playing sold out venues and having a top ten album in the official UK charts.
Those coming for the music shouldn’t be disappointed, with WRM noting: “We’ll be playing music from our last three albums and two EPs, as well as some of our favourite cover songs that have inspired us along the way.”
Tickets are on sale here.
More recently, WRM has been being locked up in the studio writing and recording their new album, in between dipping out to play festival dates. They also have a music video compilation DVD out, compilation album The Story So Far Numbered, new t-shirts and other merchandise all of which are available here and no doubt on tour also.
