Avatar are a Swedish band that have really stood out since the release of their 4th studio album ‘Black Waltz’ in 2012. Lead vocalist Johannes says it was on Black Waltz that the band really “got [their] sh*t together”. Johannes goes on to say after ‘Black Waltz’ “something clicked… and seeing the make-up awakened something that wasn’t their before.. suddenly the music had its face”.
Avatar are now set to release their 5th studio album ‘Hail the Apocalypse’ which is out May 12th. In this interview they talk to us about the song-writting process.
