North Carolina queer punk band Babe Haven have signed to UK label Hassle Records, which has re-released their second album, Nuisance. They head to Europe for the first time with a 28-date tour, ending in the UK in November.
Formed in Boone by Lillie Della Penna and Naomi Poesel, the band mix riot grrrl attitude with nu metal, thrash and punk. They have a clear mission: to uplift femme, queer and BIPOC voices and turn every show into a space of radical inclusion.
They have already shared stages with Mannequin Pussy, Nova Twins, Soft Play and Pinkshift, and played L7’s Fast and Frightening takeover.
“They’re powerful, aggressive and outspoken,” said Mease from Hassle Records. “Lillie and Naomi are insanely talented, and their music is empowering and inclusive.”
Six UK club dates in tiny rooms like the Star and Garter and New Cross Inn are exactly where to catch a band this loud before they get bigger.
