Manchester alt rock band SerpentS have released their new single, ‘Wetter Than Revenge’, taken from their upcoming debut EP Let Loose & Join A Cult, due early next year. A western-inspired video follows soon.
“This song is our Billie Jean,” said co-writer and vocalist Eli. “We were almost too scared to release it into the world because we believe this song is so powerful. It’s an alt rock feminine rage anthem.”
It follows the singles ‘Midnight Murderess’ and ‘Nerve’. The band’s first studio session was with members of Pale Waves and Pvris, two of their favourite bands, and that track will appear on the EP.
The four friends, Eli, Cerys, Josh and Kian, met at college and skipped lessons to write songs in their basement. They have already toured with Mouth Culture, Crawlers and Au/Ra. Comparing your own song to ‘Billie Jean’ takes nerve, and we love the confidence.
SerpentS play their debut headline show at Soup in Manchester on 14 November.
