As part of their innovative offering this year, the End Of The World Party invites festival-goers to curate their ultimate playlist – songs they’d want echoing if it were indeed their final moments – leading up to what promises to be an unforgettable countdown celebration. In another first-time collaboration at Download Festival HE.SHE.THEY x Mønster Queen join forces bringing forth an unparalleled industrial-goth rave combined with drag artistry creating immersive experiences across multiple genres. Additionally celebrating diversity in music She They Press Play will showcase talent from women and non-binary artists while Gem Precious gears up everyone for her Rock Festival Rave extravaganza complemented by the ever-popular Silent Disco continuing into the night.

This refreshed narrative captures all that awaits you – ensuring there’s truly something spectacular on offer for every kind of music enthusiast at District X this year!

The ensemble Number Of The Beef is set to deliver renditions from the iconic Grand Theft Auto San Andreas soundtrack, while the brass band Old Dirty Brasstards will offer their take on pop punk and metal classics. Joining them, the maritime-themed collective Old Time Sailors—a 20-member sea shanty party band—will perform their dynamic ‘Power Set’, featuring chart-toppers by legendary bands such as Metallica and AC/DC.

In a different vein, Oh My God! It’s The Church will make their debut at Donington with a comedic Southern church service complete with a live band, dancers, and a preacher leading the show. Similarly making his first appearance is Andrew O’Neill with his History Of Heavy Metal performance—an original act blending comedy and music brought to you by the comedian who’s also an avid metal enthusiast.

Building on last year’s triumphs in podcasting live events, Sappenin’ Podcast rejoins District X with notable personalities Alex Baker (of Kerrang! Radio, Magic FM, Absolute Radio fame) and Alyx Holcombe (from BBC Radio 1 and Kerrang! Radio). Those Damn Crows not only grace the main stage but also introduce their Crowcast podcast to District X attendees.

Catering to our youngest rockers-in-training are activities galore; Slay Duggee steps up as a heavy metal outfit for kids ready to instruct budding fans in circle pits and mosh etiquette—all while performing energetic covers of children’s tunes like Baby Shark. Rock Kids returns for another round at Download after debuting last year where they created unforgettable moments including a wall of hugs coupled with snow machine antics.

With this diverse array of acts lined up for District X, there is something for every festival-goer—guaranteeing that your experience will be nothing short of spectacular.
