The Chase is On!

Ahead of their Isle of Wight Festival debut, The Chase release new single ‘Death Of Me‘ on 20th August – a 4 minute rollercoaster of humour & tragedy.

The track offers a pragmatic take on the subject of love, and as singer/guitarist Tyler Heaney notes: “It’s a very personal song to me, it speaks of a hard time I went through last year (Aside from all the covid stuff). I felt the need to jot it all down and out came ‘Death Of Me’. I’m really proud of how the track turned out in the end, and who can beat a mega trumpet solo to end a track?!”

Hailing from Nottingham, The Chase fuse Brit-pop nonchalance with 60s styled choruses and arena-sized rock and roll. They will be undertaking a UK tour this August, and have just signed a deal with Golden Robot Records.

The Chase began life at the young ages of 8, 10 and 11 when Heaney recruited his younger brother, Dion, to play drums alongside their cousin Luke Childs on bass. The band would later be complete when school mate, James Cahill, joined on keyboards to turn the family trio into a quartet.

Inspired by their council estate roots, The Chase named themselves after the very streets on which they were raised, beginning their ascent towards capturing the attention of the UK through years of local gigs and performing on stages such as Rock City, Truck Festival, Y Not Festival, Birmingham Arena and countless more.

2021 has been non-stop for the band with appearances on the This Feeling – Big in 2021 exclusive vinyl release, The Great Escape Festival, their record deal and their imminent appearance at the Isle of Wight Festival.

On top of this The Chase have been undertaking their first ever tour with dates on 20th August at the Nottingham Rescue Rooms, and on 27th August at Broadcast Glasgow still to take place.
