Watch Out for Brazil’s Electric Mob

Out now is the digital deluxe edition of Brazilian rock trio Electric Mob‘s sophomore album 2 Make U Cry & Dance, via Frontiers Music Srl.

The digital deluxe edition features the full studio release alongside six live tracks performed at Capital Moto Week 2024. The band has also released a bout of singles in the run-up to the deluxe edition’s release, the current one being ‘Watch Me (I’m Today’s News)’ (Alternative Version).

With classic rock influences but driven by a modern, restless vision, Electric Mob‘s intent is to break away from clichés and push rock fans beyond their comfort zone. Check out the video for ‘Watch Me (I’m Today’s News)’ (Alternative Version) and you decide if they succeed.

Regarding previous singles, the band commented: “‘Sun Is Falling’ is our rage against modern society and its endless ways to bleed the world dry. No matter the cost, or the lives involved. It’s all about profit and selfishness. This live version stays true to the grit and anger we felt when we wrote it, full of energy and big performances.”

That followed a live version of ‘4 letters’, about which they said: “It’s a deep honest declaration of the reality of love. For someone, something or simply yourself. We often downplay or trivialise feelings like it’s nothing, and ‘4 letters’ is a wake-up call to love and to mean it.”

Hailing from Curitiba in Brazil, Electric Mob debuted with the album Discharge in 2020, following it with 2 Make U Cry & Dance in 2023.

Regarding the deluxe edition, vocalist Renan Zonta said: “We’re thrilled to release this super special edition of something we’re very proud of. The DLX version of our second album 2 Make U Cry & Dance comes with kickass live and raw cuts and it’s here to reinsure the power inside this beautiful cake. Give it an extra spin while we’re cooking a new one.”

Guitarist Ben Hur added: “We’ve always considered ourselves a band forged on stage. That’s where everything truly comes to life. In this deluxe release of our second album, we’re capturing a part of that energy and sharing it with fans who haven’t yet had the chance to experience it with us in person.”
