Elles Bailey, the multi-award-winning blues and roots singer continues to trail her next album, Shining In The Half Light with the fourth single taken from the highly anticipated release. The single is called ‘The Game’ and has a great video accompanying it… provided you approve of drinking in a bar, playing pool on a leopard print covered table, more drinking, gambling and a failed robbery! You’ll just have to watch it to fully understand!
Apparently, “The Game is about a Maverick versus The Man,” explains Elles, “but just because you’re playing someone else’s game doesn’t mean you can’t win!”
Importantly, the song is even better than the quirky video: Hammond, rock guitar riffs, catchy chorus and Elles delivering the high-quality vocals we expect to deliver an excellent blues-rock song with humour and bite.
‘The Game’ and the three previous singles are available now and the album will be released on February 25th.
Elles will be performing at the Americana Awards on Thursday night (27th Jan) and has been nominated as Artist of the Year. Originally intended to be in London at the Hackney Empire, the prestigious event has now had to be moved online.
