hairpin tackle dead-end discourse on Framing

South coast band hairpin return with ‘Framing’. It’s their first single in over a year and the first to feature Callan Milward on drums, picking up where debut Modern Day Living left off and leaning harder into their hardcore side while keeping the power pop hooks intact.

The song uses a boxing ring as a metaphor for the futility of a one-sided argument, where winning beats learning and nuance goes out the window. As Adam Edwards (vocals, guitar) frames it, people pick a team, swallow the positions whole, and contort themselves to defend it with no interest in actually talking. Recorded and mixed by Edwards at his Community Noise studio and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege, it’s a sharp return for a band who keep things firmly DIY.

They support Glitterer at The Croft in Bristol as part of upcoming UK dates.
