Scotland’s blackened thrash metal act Hellripper will be setting out on their Euro Goat Summer Massacre Tour this coming June, following the rerelease of their Black Arts & Alchemy EP, on 31st May via Peaceville Records.
The Euro Goat Summer Massacre Tour will see shows in eleven different countries including Germany, Italy and the Netherlands, the tour will also see Hellripper play their biggest Scottish show to date plus several festival appearances.
Following the release of debut album Coagulating Darkness in 2017, the Black Arts & Alchemy EP brought even more attention and notoriety to this special metal act upon its release in 2019. This new edition will be issued as a limited edition orange vinyl LP and on CD, with both formats including a previously unreleased bonus track – a cover of Running Wild’s ‘Iron Heads’.
Mastered by Joel Grind of US thrashers Toxic Holocaust, with the band’s trademark concoction of hyper-speed riffing and solos, Black Arts & Alchemy features four black /thrash metal anthems in ‘All Hail The Goat’, ‘Decrepit Christ’, Black Arts & Alchemy’ and ‘Headless Angels’ and includes an additional cover version of Running Wild’s ‘Iron Heads’.
Band member James McBain commented “I’m happy to announce that my 2019 EP Black Arts & Alchemy will be repressed by Peaceville Records on vinyl and CD. The new orange vinyl version also contains the bonus cover of Running Wild‘s ‘Iron Heads’ which was previously only available on the CD edition.
“This is an EP that I had a great time recording and marked a turning point for the band – It came at a time when we were embarking on our first tour and we received some great opportunities off the back of it. A couple of the songs on here are still among my favourites that I’ve written and have become staples of our live set. Enjoy… And all hail the goat!”
