Nottingham alternative metal outfit Idolvein have shared their latest single, ‘Enrapture Me‘, a track that sees the band stretch into noticeably new territory. Out now via Deceived Audio, it’s accompanied by an official music video pulling together live footage and behind the scenes moments.
Where previous Idolvein material has leaned harder, ‘Enrapture Me‘ opens up into ambient textures, brooding atmosphere and John Mayer adjacent guitar leads, with soaring choruses still keeping the song hook driven. Press notes pitch it as Bad Omens meets Alice In Chains meets John Mayer, and that’s a fair summary of the territory it covers.
The song itself digs into obsession, self destruction and the blurry line between devotion and despair. Singer Caelan Rivers describes it as a study on the psychological scars of a fleeting love consigned to the past, blending guilt and insecurity with a dark theatricality and shimmering alt rock production. There’s also a first time vocal contribution from bassist Oli Brown, alongside guest vocalist Samantha Holland, whose delicate inflections add another layer to the track’s melodic density.
The result is the band’s most stylistically uncharted release to date. Expansive blues guitar shades, intricate drum passages and a trio of voices working together combine to disrupt the sonic identity Idolvein have built across the last 18 months.
‘Enrapture Me‘ follows the band’s 2025 debut EP When We Became Spirits, released via Mosaic Music. Now operating fully independently under the Deceived Audio banner, this is Idolvein‘s second release of 2026, and we get the sense they’re a band genuinely unsatisfied with sitting still. We really like that about them.
