Don’t say it too loud, but as the coronavirus pandemic subsides, life as we knew it returns guardedly and music venues begin opening their doors so performers can put a smile on our faces and entertain us once more.
Award-winning blues rock band King King had to postpone their UK tour in support of their fifth studio album Maverick several times due to the national lockdown, but now with a new line-up featuring Alan Nimmo (vocals, guitar), Stevie Nimmo (guitar), Jonny Dyke (organ, piano), Zander Greenshields (bass), and Andrew Scott (drums) they’re all set to go later this month.
Their UK tour on Friday 15th October at Leeds University Union. The October 2021 tour takes in seven dates including Leeds, Liverpool, Exeter, Bexhill-on-Sea, Wolverhampton, Cambridge and Edinburgh.
Special guests on the October 2021 dates is When Rivers Meet who recently won four awards at the UK Blues Awards including Blues Album of the Year and Blues Band of the Year, plus Best New Band at Planet Rock’s The Rocks Awards.
Then, in the new year, King King will embark on the second leg of their UK tour from 10-24th February, 2022 with special guests, psychedelic blues rock band The Damn Truth, whose new album Now or Nowhere is produced by the legendary Bob Rock.
