Ossuary Lust with New Skeletal Faces

It’s been seven years since US death rock’s new rising sensation New Skeletal Faces arrived on the planet and embedded themselves in the seedy outlying corners of the Southern Californian music scene. They’ve now signed with UK metal label Peaceville and the trio released their new album Until The Night.

Until The Night has been described as delving “deep into the forgotten, dark underbelly of rock and roll, taking inspiration from the blackened brutality of bands such as Bathory and Christian Death. Alongside the album release, New Skeletal Faces has issued a video for the track ‘Ossuary Lust’.

Speaking about the new video, vocalist Errol Fritz said: “’Ossuary Lust’ was filmed at a chapel and cemetery we broke into. With the sorcery of the unholy on our side, no one prevented our blasphemic perverse rituals”. Filmed by Gaberealhell, directed and edited by Gaberealhell and New Skeletal Faces, and featuring Chlobra, you can check it out here at RAMzine.

Until the Night has been described as being akin “to listening to the 1980’s Sunset Strip in an alternate universe from hell”.

Formed in 2017, the trio of Errol Fritz, KRO, & Don Void present themselves as a cosmic abomination that tote the genre lines between all manners of darkness in music. New Skeletal Faces cast their own black light onto the long dormant corpse of death rock, intent on shattering the mirror of modern heavy metal into fragments that reflect back a fresh new take on this form of music with an energised & outlandish conviction.

Recorded in the shadowy recesses of Hollywood, California, the new album was tracked, mixed and mastered by producer/engineer Bill Metoyer (Slayer, Wasp, DRI), who said, “It was a pleasure working with New Skeletal Faces. A band who not only chose to not follow recent songwriting trends of so many other newer metal bands seem to do nowadays, but also the trends in the sound of their record.”

Until The Night features the tracks ‘Disexist’, ‘Until The Night’, ‘Ossuary Lust’, ‘Wombs ‘New Skeletal Faces’, ‘Zeitgeist Suicide’, ‘Pagan War’, ‘Enchantment Of My Inner Coldness‘ and ‘Raise The Dead’.

It is out now on limited edition starlight sparkle vinyl, black vinyl (both include additional poster and special gold foil finish on front cover), CD and digitally via Peaceville Records.

Upon signing with their new record label New Skeletal Faces said, “We are honoured to be joining the Peaceville roster and believe that there is no better asylum for NSF. Being alongside the most intense artists this earth has procreated, we look forward to this camaraderie in spreading our diseased view on what the darkness in rock ‘n’ roll should be”.

With a string of live performances showcasing their wild and untamed personalities already under their collective belts, and with the band gaining more and more steam with each transmission, New Skeletal Faces will take to the stage in support of the release of Until The Night on several US dates.

Alongside ‘Ossuary Lust’., you can check out the band’s previous official video, that was for ‘Banshee Sex Tomb, here at RAMzine.
