Over the weekend of June 29th to July 1st – Camden Stables will be giving fans an opportunity to mark the re-release of an album which is both celebrated as a classic, as well as influential in its genre, Guns n’ Roses seminal album Appetite For Destruction.
Going under the title ‘General Admission’ this will be a one-time only opportunity for fans to commemorate the band in all their glory.
The event is being held in Camden Market, Chalk Farm Road, London, NW1, admission is free on a first-come, first admitted basis, and the event begins at 11am.
The event will include a screening of Guns n’ Roses much-heralded 1988 gig at The Ritz, as well as an exhibition of many rare and previously unseen pictures of the band taken at the time of the album’s release.
Appetite For Destruction: Locked and Loaded edition will also be played, there will be the opportunity to indulge in special editions of Guns n’ Roses beer, wine and gin, and Kindred Tattoos will be offering free Guns and Roses tattoos.
And if all this isn’t enough, the classic US brand Schott will be offering fans the opportunity to create and design their own customised Guns and Roses leather jacket. For those who’re domestically inclined there’ll also be a chance to create your own accessories and home-ware items, including themed wallpaper.
Also, for the mega fan, the weekend offers the opportunity to see at close hand the gargantuan-sized ‘Locked N’ Loaded Super Deluxe Box Set’, containing all the formats the album is being released in, as well as a booklet containing unreleased pictures from Axl Rose’s personal collection. For the committed GNR fan, this is a weekend clearly not to be missed.
