Scranton, Pennsylvania powerhouse Motionless In White have announced their seventh full-length album Decades, due 17th July 2026 via Roadrunner Records.
To mark the announcement, the band have shared the lyric video for ferocious new single ‘Playing God’, featuring Slipknot’s Corey Taylor on guest vocals. As soon as the track kicks in, your hair gets blown straight backwards. It’s that intense. We absolutely love it. The lyrics are a vibe and we’d love to be screaming “get fucked or shut the fuck up” at a festival this summer! It’s an absolute banger and it’s heavy, and we’re here for it.
The track is an observational piece on toxic internet culture, with vocalist Chris Motionless explaining: “It’s an observational commentary on toxic internet culture and the people who perpetuate it. The internet has gotten worse and worse to the point where only negativity, hatred, and lies are at the forefront of everything you see. It’s very frustrating because I thought social media was supposed to be a mechanism to connect, but all it does is divide.”
For over 20 years, Motionless In White (Chris Motionless on vocals, Ricky Olson and Ryan Sitkowski on guitars, Vinny Mauro on drums, and Justin Morrow on bass) have built their own corner of alternative music, blending metal, hardcore, goth, industrial, and electronic into a sound that has carried them out of the Rust Belt and into arenas. Their first single of 2026, ‘Afraid Of The Dark’, set the tone for what was coming next.

Decades features further guest appearances from Skylar Grey on ‘R.I.P.’ and Dark Divine’s Anthony Martinez on ‘Blood Rave’. The album was recorded in Upstate New York and Los Angeles with co-producers Drew Fulk and Justin “JD” deBlieck.
Chris adds: “Decades is definitely heavier than some of our past albums. Our current world bred more aggressive energy, anger, and resistance.”
The band are currently on a North American arena tour with Bring Me The Horizon, and will return in July for their headline Sweat and Blood Tour with support from Lorna Shore, Fit For A King, and Static Dress. It’s their first US headline run in nearly three years, with the dates including their first time headlining Red Rocks.
Decades is out 17th July 2026 via Roadrunner Records.
