Black Veil Brides and Saint Agnes Light Up London

Live Review: The Dome, London, Wednesday 17th June 2026

I still cannot believe I have finally seen one of my absolute favourite bands of all time, after 12 years of listening to them! It felt like a dream! I reviewed their latest album Vindicate back in May, and now I had the opportunity to review them live! I am very honoured and grateful that I was able to review this gig. It was so much fun and one of the best nights of my life!

Saint Agnes

The opening act for this incredible gig was Saint Agnes, an alternative metal/punk quartet from East London. I had never heard of them before, but I was very excited to hear them for the first time. The lights went down, the stage filled with flashing lights and sound effects, and all of a sudden the band appeared. They started their set with ‘Bloodsuckers’, which helped introduce the band and what was yet to come. They were so full of energy, headbanging and jumping around, with powerful vocals. You could see they had great chemistry with each other on stage, making it an enjoyable set! They only played for 30 minutes and I honestly wish they had played longer. I will definitely be listening to this band more, they are a new favourite for sure!

Black Veil Brides

Now for the men of the hour: Black Veil Brides. I have been listening to this band for 12 years and had never seen them live…until now! This band means so much to me, helping me through a lot of dark times in my life. As soon as they walked on stage, I burst into tears! I was so happy to finally see them in person. They started their set with ‘Knives & Pens’, one of my absolute favourite songs, which of course I sang along to. Andy Biersack had a lot of funny banter with the crowd throughout the whole set, getting everyone to ask questions, and of course thanking us all for being there.

They had Godsmack’s touring drummer Wade Murff stepping in on drums, as CC had some personal family matters and unfortunately had to pull out of the rest of the tour. Wade did an amazing job, learning the songs and performing them perfectly. They played songs from their latest album Vindicate, including title track ‘Vindicate’, ‘Bleeders’ and ‘Hallelujah’. They treated us to some older songs too, including ‘Wretched & Divine’, which they performed for the first time on this tour. They ended their set with another one of my favourites, ‘In The End’, what a perfect song to end on! The crowd was so hyped and excited the whole way through, everyone singing along to every song, myself included of course. I had a little dance and headbang throughout too, and it was so much fun for everyone there.

I love punk, ska, heavy metal, and rock music. I enjoy discovering new bands and meeting people with the same music tastes.
